Watch our denizens of Necromunda, GW is bring back the Malcadon, Yeld, and Jakara suits in the Hive Secusdus expansion.

Re just saw the unveiling of the heavy Spyrer Orrus suits in the upcoming Hive Secusdus expansion.  He’s a big fellow, but the old-school veterans of Necromunda will remember he was not alone in the original Spyrer expansion from back in 1996.

Original Necromunda Spyrers – 1996

No worries, because GW says his three compatriots, the Malcadon, Yeld, and Jacara suits are on the way. Take a look at the upcoming minis for the glory-seeking youth of Necromunda’s ruling houses:

Here’s what GW says about the new suits:

“Where the Orrus is classed as a Heavy Spyre Hunter, the Malcadon, Yeld, and Jakara are Light Spyrers. And while their looks have evolved, they all still function the same as they did when they first terrorised the underhive in 1996.

Cunningly tooled to fit the same sprue, these three variants share bodies but retain their signature armaments and unique methods of fighting.

The archetypes remain the same. The Malcadon is still a hyper-mobile brawler with paired claws and web incisors, though they now sport a drop rig and a grapnel launcher as standard, and may switch the claws for paired toxin whips. The Yeld is a flyer who can pick paired laser gauntlets or missile gauntlets, while the Jakara fights with a mirror shield and either a monomolecular blade or naga blade.”

The Spyrer mini kits share the legs and torsos, and feature interchangeable weapons, so you can assemble them in a myriad of ways.

The Spyrers are going to be quite expensive in points, so you will always be heavily outnumbered. But don’t worry, these are no mere mortals skulking around the underhive. The advanced tech in the Spyrers suits mean these guys get double the normal number of activations – 4 per turn! So they will be flitting around the table causing mayhem to their underhive brethrin.

Here’s all the basics on the upcoming Necromunda Hive Secundus below.
