It’s choose which Emperor you’ll fight and die for this week with the pre-order release of both Genestealer Cults and Adepta Sororitas.

It can be hard to tell which Emperor is the real Emperor sometimes. I mean, consider the Adepta Sororitas and the Adepta Sororitas. Both are all about following the Emperor. Both derive power and purpose from following his edicts. One Emperor is all about uplifting the common folk, raising them from suffering. The other is all about burning the galaxy through the machinery of human suffering, oiled with the blood of oppression.

Will the real Emperor please stand up, please stand up, please stand up? That was a trick question. The real Emperor can’t stand up, because he’s a corpse on a throne. The other one has four arms. And that’s how you tell the difference if you’re ever in that situation.

And now that you know which Emperor is which, you can choose which you want with next week’s pre-orders, conveniently featuring the Adepta Sororitas, Genestealer Cults, and a few extra friends. Let’s take a look!

Genestealer Cults

The poor humans of the Genestealer Cults don’t really stand much of a chance. They’re often those most forgotten by the cruel machinery of the Imperium. It’s why a psychogenetically beautiful human(ish) being promising a Day of Ascension at the four hands of the Four-Armed Emperor can so easily turn them to what they believe to be a noble cause.

But, the new codex looks good. Inside are all the rules for the GSC, plus five different detachments including rules for the Brood Brother Auxilia, aka putting Astra Militarum units in your army. Get some tanks to go with all those repurposed mining vehicles.

And a new Battleforce Box, the Biosanctic Broodsurge, will be just the thing to launch your new army. Inside you’ll get an Abominant, 5 Aberrants, 10 Neo[phyte Hybrids, 10 Purestrain Genestealers, 2 Goliaths, capable of kitting out as Rockgrinders or Trucks, and of course, the new anti-tank psyker, the Benefictus.

Supplement your forces with a fast attack Combat Patrol. In the GSC Combat Patrol you’ll get a Jackal Alphus along with 5 Jackals, an ATV, an Achilles Ridgerunner, and 10 Hybrid Metamorphs.

Adepta Sororitas

Fire and Faith are the name of the game for the Adepta Sororitas, better known as the Sisters of Battle. They are among the most devout servants of the Emperor, who don’t even need superhuman bioengineering to be capable of miraculous feats of piety and faith. The new Codex will have rules for that, as well as new Detachments.

Of course, they get a new Battleforce Box as well. The Army of Faith comes with 10 Seraphim, 5 Zephyrim, an Exorcist, because the Sisters of Battle can’t fight without their theme music, and the new Canoness with Jump Pack.

The new Combat Patrol features a good amount of ground units. You’ll get 10 Arco-flagellants, 10 Battle Sisters, 5 Celestian Sacresants, and a Canoness.

Supplement all that with the new Ministorum Priest with Vindictor chainsword flamethrower.

…And Friends

There are two standalone minis coming out on their own. No longer bound to a boxed set, you’ll find the new Big Mek, who comes with parts for a kustom mega-blasta, traktor blasta, power klaw, and drilla.

And, Henry Cavill will be pleased to know he can get his hands on as many individual standalone Shield-Captains as he wants. Maybe that will get him the motivation he needs to play some 10th Edition.

All this, next week!
