Age of Sigmar: Hobby Highlight – Painting Bloab Rotspawned
It’s time to paint up Bloab Rotspawned for Age of Sigmar in this week’s Hobby Highlight!
Today I am showing how I painted Bloab for Age of Sigmar.
One of the leaders of the Maggotkin of Nurgle, Bloab Rotspawned spreads teeming, pestilent life throughout the Mortal Realms, even granted a great Maggoth steed, Bilespurter. This disgusting dude and his putrid mount are covered in details. I went for a simple, pale scheme for Bilespurter and matched Bloabs armor to the rest of the army. For a bit of extra flavor, I went for a super bright acid for the base and vomit.
Bloab Rotspawned Paint Scheme
So this scheme is done entirely with simple techniques combining GW Contrast paints with the magic of drybrushing. The Maggotkin he accompanies are very dirty, but I wanted him to be a bit cleaner. Each color consists of a single contrast, a cleaned-up wash, and an additional highlight on a few of the colors- that is it. For the base, I wanted to represent some disgusting pools of acid.
