Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Where Are They Now – June 2023 Edition
We’re roughly halfway through the month of June. Let’s check in with last year’s Rumor Engines to see what happened with them!
I can’t believe we’re already in June of 2024 and we’re already halfway done with that! Where is time going? It’s marching ever onward as time does. But no matter. Let’s check out the Rumor Engines from June of 2023 before we get too far down that existential dread spiral. Whatever happened to last year’s Rumor Engines?!
Cloaked With Quills – June 6, 2023
Status: Solved
The Kroot War Shaper was behind this quill filled cloak. The quiver was one of the options you could build the War Shaper with.
Something Fishy – June 13, 2023
Status: Solved
This fishy head crest turned out to be from the Warhammer Underworlds Deathgorge Warband Cyreni’s Razors. You don’t wanna mess with this octo-pod.

If you were staring down the business end of the hammer then you’re facing off against a member of the Ogor Mawtribes Gorger Mawpack from Warcry!
Status: Unsolved
As of posting, we still don’t have a solution for this Rumor Engine from June 27, 2023. My gut reaction from a year ago still stands: this looks a lot like a bunch of the ammo crates you’d see from the Astra Militarum.
But even if this isn’t from the Astra Militarum, I think it’s safe to plant this Rumor Engine directly in the Grimdark side of the house. I don’t think anyone in the Mortal Realms is packing equipment and standard issue frag grenades from the Imperium. That said, I do wonder when this one will get a reveal. It’s been almost a full year at this point. As far as we can tell, there’s no Astra Militarum on the horizon either.
With this summer being dominated by the upcoming Warhammer: Age of Sigmar releases I do wonder when GW will find time to fit this (almost) year old Rumor Engine reveal in.
