Warhammer 40K: Genestealer Cults Biosanctic Broodsurge & Combat Patrol Pricing Breakdown
The Genestealer Cults have a new Battleforce still up for Pre-order along with their Combat Patrol. What sort of a deal are they?
If you’re looking to start a new Genestealer Cult army then now is a really good time to do that. The Battleforce is still currently available for pre-order and the Combat Patrol is too. Now, eventually the Battleforce is going away but the Combat Patrol is sticking around. But that got us wondering with the new price hikes what sort of deals would each of these work out to. So, let’s do some math and find out.
Battleforce: Genestealer Cults – Biosanctic Broodsurge $215

10x Purestrain Genestealers $58
Total Individual MSRP: $361*
Total Savings: $146
There’s one small caveat here in that the Benefictus isn’t technically out yet. I’m estimating the price based off the many other Genestealer Cults characters that are out for the army. All-in it looks like good deal of savings as well. As a Battleforce this box has a varied and diverse set of units inside. Not only do you get the Benefictus in the box (which, again, not out yet) but you also get two Goliath Trucks/Rockgrinders. With the Genestealers and Aberants you’ve got hard hitting close combat options as well. Rounded out with the Neophyte Hybrids and it’s a great core for a new army or collection.
Just to reiterate, this one is a limited product. It’s only available while stocks last so if you want to get one you definitely want to get on that sooner rather than later.
Now, let’s talk about the Combat Patrol because that’s sticking around for a lot longer.
Combat Patrol: Genestealer Cults – $168
10x Hybrid Metamorphs (which can alternatively be built as Acolyte Hybrids) $45

Total Savings: $44.50
This Combat Patrol’s savings isn’t as drastic as the Battleforce but it’s still essentially “buy all units and get the Character (close to) free.” This box also has a couple things going for it. First up, it’s got a bit of a focus for when you’re just using these options in Combat Patrol games: speed. This feels like a very fast moving set of options in the box. The only exception is the Hybrid Metamorphs but they can hold their own.
The second thing this box has going for it is that none of these units are the same ones in the Battleforce. You can quite literally buy both and have a huge jump start on a Genestealer Cult collection — and a very decent core of units to actually build an army out of. The one issue I can see is that an army of *just* the Battleforce and Combat Patrol will lack any real focus. It’s a lot of different units but you might need to figure out your own play style and start to lean into that for expanding.
However you want to slice it both the Battleforce and the Combat Patrols are cheaper than buying the units individually. If you want to get in while it’s cheap(er) and easy snag these boxes while you can.
Also don’t forget that Genestealer Cults can also be used in Necromunda. Just tossing that out there.
