Warhammer Next Week: Necromunda Secundus and Old World Dwarves
Necromunda gets a new expansion, and the Old World unveils Dwarves in all their glory for next week’s preorders.
Next week sees the pre-order release of two different under-factions, so to speak. In the grim darkness of the distant future, we have Necromunda’s new expansion, Hive Secundus, which sees the ruined Underhells of Hive Secundus delved. There, Genestealers await, the Malstrain ready to burst across the surface of the world.
And over in the Old World, Dwarves, who dig deeply and with great craft, hollowing out mountains and transforming them into holds that would shame even Altdorf itself.
So many preorders, so little time. Here’s a look at what’s coming next week!
Necromunda: Hive Secundus
First up, Hive Secundus, the new expansion for Necromunda. It comes with a big boxed set, featuring two different “gangs” to stretch the definition of the term. There’s a crew of Eight Van Saar Tek-Hunters and their accompanying Spyrehunter and a Caryatid Prime.
While the Malstrain Brood brings out the worst in these Genestealers, with six Malstrain Genstealers, four Malstrain Tyramites, and eight Brood Scum all led by the Brood Mind.
And of course, you get a whole bunch of terrain, as well as the new Hive Secundus book with all the rules for mounting campaigns in the Underhells.
Dwarves of the Old World
Meanwhile, the Old World gets Dwarves, and lots of them. Starting with a new Arcane Journal:
This 48-page supplement featuring new rules, background lore, and scenarios. You’ll find profiles for three named characters – all three of whom were also at large during the Era of Karl Franz – and a host of special units, including the legendary Goblin Hewer and more Dogs of War options. There are two Armies of Infamy allowing you to field a Royal Clan and an Expeditionary Force, as well as new Runes and Runic Tattoos.
There’s also a big box o’ Dwarves, which comes with 32 Dwarf Warriors, 32 Quarrelers/Thunderers, and 2 Gyrocopters/Gyrobombers.
And leading them, Ungrim Ironfist, the Slayer King.
Dwarf Lords with Shieldbearers.
And even a Thane with Handgun on Oathstone.
All this, plus Classic Dwarves, next week!
