Age of Sigmar: The Battle For Hel Crown Has Skaven Out To An Early Lead
The Slaughter at Hel Crown sounds about right. The Skaven are pulling ahead but it’s still early in the global Age of Sigmar campaign!
This week marked the launch of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar’s new edition and the fight over the in world city of Hel Crown. The winner of this global campaign will get to see their new range of miniatures revealed first in a special preview. And while we’re only a few days in, the Skaven (and Chaos) are pulling ahead by quite a margin.
“Will Hel Crown stand tall or fall to ruin? Its fate is in your hands! Use the contents of the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Skaventide boxed set to play a game and log the results to contribute. However the battle goes, the result will be immortalised forever in Warhammer Age of Sigmar lore! Come back to this page once the campaign is live on Monday the 15th of July 2024, and play your part in deciding the fate of this beleaguered outpost.”
There are currently two fronts on for this fight. There a battle inside the city and there’s a battle raging outside. The fight inside is specific to the Stormcast Eternals and the Skaven. For every other faction it’s going down outside. Let’s check in to see how it’s going…
Hel Crown Update – July 16, 2024
As of posting, this is the current situation inside the city. The Skaven have a commanding lead over the Stormcast Eternals. That is quite the deficit to overcome. Can the forces of the Stormcast push back and close that gap? Or will the Skaven dig in even deeper and rot Hel Crown to its very core?
Outside the city it doesn’t look that much better. The Forces of Chaos have a slightly less commanding lead…but it’s still about a 20-point spread. It’s not an insurmountable number and we’re only a day in so there’s plenty of time for things to change.
Now is your chance to make an impact on the Mortal Realms. Which side will you cast your lot with and help win the day? You can submit your results on the Hel Crown website now.
I wonder how much the faction packs are having an impact on the out come…
