D&D’s Original ‘Dragonlance Trilogy’ Gets New Omnibus ‘Dragonlance Chronicles’
Coming next year, the original Dragonlance Trilogy gets collected into a new omnibus edition with a special foreword from Joe Manganiello.
Joe Manganiello may well be the biggest Dragonlance fan on record out there. Dude loves the world of Krynn the way Henry Cavill loves the Adeptus Custodes. I’m sure there’s something to unpack about how actors like Manganiello and Cavill are drawn to the deep nerd lore, but we’ll save that for another time.
Instead, let’s focus on a new book, which is actually a collection of old books. Up for pre-order on Penguin Random House is a new omnibus edition of the original Dragonlance Trilogy. Titled Dragonlance Chronicles, this version has something other omnibus editions of the Dragonlance Trilogy don’t: a foreword from Joe Manganiello, who, as previously established, loves Dragonlance so much that his clothing line features Lord Soth.

The new omnibus edition is slated to be released on February 4th, 2025 – just in time for the release of the 5.5E Monster Manual, which seems fitting.
Dragonlance Chronicles is up for pre-order. And you should know by now whether or not you want it. You’ve either already got an omnibus edition of the trilogy that has cracked and is falling apart, or you still have older reprints of the original three books in mint condition somewhere. Or your first experience with Krynn was in Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, and now you’re curious about the setting.
But that last one feels like a bit of a stretch. Still, I know at least two DL fans who will be excited to have yet another chance to see their favorite series back in the foreground. Especially with the new book, Dragonlance: Dragons of Eternity coming out early next week. But for now, here’s what we know about Dragonlance Chronicles:
