Steamforged Games: P3 Paints Kickstarter Two Days Remain
If you’ve never used P3 Paints you’re in luck because this Kickstarter is crushing it. Get in on the action while you can!
P3 Paints crushed their funding goal already and they are approaching the final 48 hours. You’ve still got time to back this project if you want to get your hands on this fantastic paint line before it (eventually) comes to retail. As of writing, the campaign has already hit over 1670% of the funding goal. P3 Paints are back!
P3 Paints Returning
Look, I’m not here to sell you on this project. I think their Kickstarter does a pretty good job of that. I’m just looking to get the word about about this one because I want to see it in stores again.
Old School P3 Paint bottles, Thanks GentleBen!
Personally, I really liked this paint line for a few reasons. The P3 paints went on smooth and gave you some time to work with them if you wanted to get fancy and do any blending on the model. I was never the best at that but I really liked how smooth the color range was. I’m hoping that this new range fits that bill, too.
I actually did end up backing this project myself. Although I didn’t go all in. I opted for the $40 Starter Pledge for a couple reasons. As excited as I am about this returning paint line, I’m not exactly a “power user” of paints — I don’t need all 110 bottles OMGRIGHTNOW. But I DO want to dabble with them — especially that Thamar Black. When I ran out of that stuff a while back I was pretty bummed it had basically been discontinued. I guess that’s the main reason I’m so stoked for this line to return. And hopefully in stores, too!
One other cool thing about this Kickstarter is that you’re going to have the option to choose either the new dropper bottles (default option) or the classic bottles. I personally prefer the droppers bottles now that I use a wet palette. But you do you!
Anyhow, this Kickstarter has hit it’s funding goal big time and it’s clear that the fans want this paint to come back. By the time of this publishing, the Kickstarter will either be at the last 48 hours or really close to that. Considering that Steamforged Games isn’t some fly-by-night company and has a pretty proven track record here, I’m inclined to give this Kickstarter a lot of trust. I never think of a Kickstarter as a “guarantee” but this one is probably as close as you can get to that!
Steamforged Games is looking to ship the paint in March of 2025. At which point I’m betting we’ll also see them arrive in retail stores soon after. So you can either jump in now or if you’re more patient than I am, you can wait until then. I’m looking forward to getting ahold of these once more!
