It’s time to roll the dice on new releases! Come check out this week’s batch of brand new 5E compatible tabletop roleplaying games.

School’s Out

Cover art for 'School's Out' features a black cat wearing a witch's hat in front of a crescent moon.

Merim Hellash, a teacher at the Astral Academy is experimenting with dangerous magicks. Magic, an awakened cat and suspended teacher, has her suspicions about Merim and decides that if the faculty won’t intervene, she’ll recruit students instead.

Schools Out is a Fifth Edition one-shot adventure for a party at level 5. This adventure can be adapted to your own campaign, played as a one-shot, or be part of the Starlight Chronicles setting that connects everything made by Kelfecil’s Tales.

This adventure features premade player characters that you can give to your players when starting the adventure. The original story of School’s Out is actually meant to be played with those characters since they are students that attend the Astral Academy.

Relics & Realms: Chronarium

Cover art for 'Chronarium' features a high tech city with tall golden buildings.

Chronarium is a realm forged not from stone or wood, but from brass, steel, and aethyrium – the luminous blue liquid said to hold dominion over time itself. Its towering structures resemble gargantuan clockworks, their facades etched with intricate dials and gears that ceaselessly spin and mesh. Above, airships powered by sputtering aetherium engines carve paths through a perpetual twilight sky, casting flickering shadows across cobblestone streets slick with oil and grime.

This is a city of contrasts. Dazzling displays of artifice and innovation stand juxtaposed with the grimy realities of industrial life. The rhythmic clanging of trams mingles with the rasping coughs of exhausted automatons hauling cargo. The air hums with a constant energy, a symphony of whirring gears, hissing steam, and the murmur of clandestine deals.

Mixed Beginnings

Cover art for 'Mixed Beginnings' features a dark, foggy or smokey city at night. The city is lit by lanterns and possibly a fire in the middle distance. In the foreground we see silhouettes of people.

Mixed Beginnings expands the possibilities for character creation in the 2024 edition of 5e, offering a 16 original backgrounds that enrich storytelling and roleplaying.

Designed to complement the official Backgrounds, this collection introduces unique archetypes that allow players to dive deeper into their character’s history, personality, and motivations. From former cultists to enigmatic outcasts, these Backgrounds add layers of depth to your character’s journey.

Each has been carefully designed to provide both mechanical balance and narrative flexibility, ensuring players can create characters that resonate with their desired role in the game.
