Goatboy here with some future Warhammer 40K Kill Team releases I expect to be coming our way.

So what Kill Team releases might be coming out, based on what we’ve seen so far?  It appears we have two types of Kill Team releases so far – brand new units and full refreshes of older units.  Both of these are great types of releases as they get you a new unit for 40K and a chance to look at things for Kill Team if you want to get involved.  I love both of them as it just gives us more things to look at and usually some pretty interesting and more involved models to mess with.

What models do you think will be coming next?  Or what models do you think will just get a true refresh?  I know I could go on and on about how Kill Team will be where the new Aeldari are released so instead of going into all the Aspect Warriors (looking at you Swooping Hawks) – lets look at some of the other codexes out there and what could show up if GW wanted too.  I see a whole slew of stuff that could get a nice refresh – especially things that are already plastic, but have a very old kit.

5. Ork Stormboyz

This feels like a no brainer for an option in the upcoming sets that will for sure be coming out.  They are a jump infantry – matching the T’au Empire Vespids.  Their kit isn’t bad right now it just isn’t nearly as interesting as it could be.  They fit into the whole mold of the updated Tank Bustas, so why not upgrade another “unique” elite style unit.  I would think we could get a cool squad of 10 guys, maybe have a cool Vulka style Nob with claw feet, and just added in a whole slew of options for a slam dunk kit to bring to the Ork players.

4. Drukhari Grotesques & Beastmasters

This feels like a nice little addition to the Dark Eldar army that could be an easy update.  You throw in a few Beastmasters with monsters to push around and then two Grotesques to create a nice little unique boxed set.  I also wonder if we switch these guys to a two-man squad, dump more wounds into them, and make them feel like the hulking monsters on the tabletop.

3. Necron Immortals

This is another kit that works right now but what if we got some really unique ones in the new game.  Maybe they are the upgraded Necron Immortals to give a better feeling of Elite infantry that the Necrons don’t always seem to use that much.  You could even try to make them some kind of special guard unit too and just give a whole newer and more brutal looking set of Necron guard.

2. Space Marines Vanguard Veterans

It was always interesting to see the Marine Vanguards survive in the new book and it just has me thinking will get an awesome new custom kit and probably a nice little refresh of rules.  Things like all those heirloom weapons can now become heavy heirloom weapons which could be cool.  I also could see it set up to be easily updatable for all those other armies with an extremely awesome new kit.

1. Chaos Space Marines/World Eaters/Thousand Sons/Death Guard – Chaos Spawn

This is a unit that just needs a new refresh as the kit is so old, feels really outdated when you compare it to everything else, and all the armies use it.  an updated Chaos Spawn could just be a crazy new kit updated with all kinds of fun little doodads and bits to create a dream of customization.  Plus you could use it to add all kinds of other stuff to your CSM armies as well.

What new units do you thing GW will refresh via Kill Team?
