Warhammer Next Week: Rise of the Dark Mechanicum And Blood Angels Combat Patrol
Next week’s pre-orders see the rise of the Dark Mechanicum in Legions Imperialis as well as a sweet new Blood Angels box.
Have you ever wanted to commit tech heresy? Arguably, the best KIND of heresy? Well now’s your chance, because a new book for Legions Imperialis is all about the rise of the Dark Mechanicu.m These malevolent maguses and truant techpriests are all about not being shackled by the bounds of the laws, be they the Emperor’s laws or the laws of physics.
Once the Dark Mechanicum threw their lot in with Horus, they could really roll up their sleeves and get to work unleashing terrible technological secrets that humanity was forbidden from doing for a reason. And next week’s pre-orders are all about the power of Dark Artifice, which is mostly just Knights and Titans but with spikes and skulls on them. Plus you get a Blood Angels Combat Patrol.
Legions Imperialis – The Dark Mechanicum Unleashed Plus Bonus Blood Angels)
It all kicks off with the new book, fittingly titld The Rise of the Dark Mechanicum. This book contains the harrowing events of the Doom of Magma City, which, let’s be honest, probably wasn’t that great of a place to begin with. That’s the kind of place that’s doomed from the start. It’s named Magma City. You don’t have a name like that if you’re not just an awful volcanic place to live where everything is already terrible.
And of course, you get all the rules for your army lists of Titan Legions and Knight Households, the miniatures for which also accompany this release.
In the Mechanicum Battle Group box, you get a full ad-mech army in a box. You get a “full army” which means, in this case, 146 epic scale models. From tiny techpriests to charmingly-small cataphractoi robots, this box has it all.
In the Knight House Battle Group, you get a ton of epic-scale knights, ready to stomp out heresy (or stomp it in, depending on your allegiance). In the Knight House Battle Group box, you’ll get four Cerastus Knight Lancers, six Questoris knights, and a pair of Acastus Knight Porphyrions.
Finally, in the Titan Battlegroup Box you’ll get a bunch of teeny titans, specifically: a Warlord Titan, a Reaver Titan, and two Warhound Scout Titans. If that doesn’t clear off a section of the table, I don’t know what will.
And for the Blood Angels? A new Combat Patrol boxed set. Here, you’ll drive the new Blood Angels Captain as well as sox of the new Sanguinary Guard models, along with 10 Assault Intercessors to round out the Patrol.
All this, Next Week!
