Atomic Mass Games has released the rules for the Galactic Legends for Star Wars: Shatterpoint. Can you take on these legends?

During the Ministravaganza 2024 showcase, Atomic Mass Games announced that they were cooking something fun up for Star Wars: Shatterpoint. They were working on a way to bring cinema-accurate encounters to the tabletop for Star Wars: Shatterpoint. Their solution was a new way to play with new Galactic Legends encounters. Now they are releasing the beta test rules to the public — and they want your feedback!

Legendary Encounters give players the chance to lead some of the most iconic Star Wars characters on missions designed from the ground up to feel like a scene from a movie, cartoon, or comic book! Each Galactic Legend has brand new Stat Cards and a specialized Order Deck allowing players to field them and their Minions in a one-versus-many version of Shatterpoint. This is just the beginning; a taste of a few Galactic Legends and the first mission they can embark on. Buckle in, because we have a lot more on the way once we get your feedback!

Again, these are the Beta Test rules so there might be a little wonkiness to them. That’s why they are asking for feedback.

Personally, I’m actually glad to see AMG doing this type of gameplay expansion and testing. I have played a TON of the Ultimate Encounters for Marvel: Crisis Protocol and find those to be quite fun. I even created a few of my own.

Anyhow, I’m glad this concept is moving to Star Wars: Shatterpoint, too. It’s fun to use the same core game but in a different way. Plus, you’ll finally get to experience the epic power of some of your favorite Star Wars characters as they take on minions. Or you’ll face their wrath as you try and stop the unstoppable!

So give these a try and see what you think. And then, most importantly, let AMG know how your games went!

Are you going to give the Galactic Legends a try?
