Steamforged Games is back with a new crowdfunding campaign for Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade. It crushed it’s goal in 18 minutes.

As of writing this, Steamforge Games latest crowdfunding campaign is already at 730% of it’s goal. Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade is a follow-up to Bardsung with an all-new campaign. And it sure seems like fans are into this one, too!

“Heed the call to adventure in this epic dungeon crawl board game for 1-5 players! Tale of the Forsaken Glade remasters the gameplay of the first ENNIE award-winning Bardsung game for an all-new campaign. Navigate the shifting labyrinth, confront twisted fae and dragon-tainted cultists, and reclaim the forest from impending annihilation.”

At it’s core, Bardsung is a board game dungeon crawler. This time around you’re heading into the Forsaken Glade to take on the enemies and challenges that await you.

The boxed set comes with an impressive set of miniatures with 5 hero characters and dozens more enemies. There’s a sprawling campaign with remastered gameplay in the new setting. You’ll also be able to customize your hero further as you play.

If you’re interested I highly recommend you check out their Gamefound page here. However, I wanted to focus on one thing in particular from this crowdfunding campaign:

I don’t know if this is going to be a “one-and-done” type of thing but all signs are pointing to this being a Gamefound Exclusive — that means no retail option. I’m not sure exactly why that is but we’re going off what’s available on the campaign page. So if you are interested but still on the fence, you might want to check out the gameplay video below:

Regardless, the miniatures in the set look pretty amazing. And Steamforged Games has a strong history of fulfilling crowdfunded campaigns. So even if you’re not 100% sold on the gameplay those miniatures are pretty tempting by themselves. Be sure to check out all the different pledge options before you commit. And don’t forget about those shipping costs either.

Honestly, if you’ve got a committed board game crew that’s looking for a new campaign-based dungeon crawler this one looks promising. Between the miniatures, the story, and the overall quality of the components Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade might be perfect for you. Alternatively, there’s also the previous Bardsung entries to check out, too.

Will your legend inspires songs?
