Warhammer 40K: Battleforce Pricing Breakdowns For The 2024 Holidays
We know what’s in the Warhammer 40,000 battleforce boxes and we know their price points. Time to do some basic math and break them down!
Games Workshop has shown off all the battleforce boxes coming to pre-order this weekend. Now we know the contents and we know the price point. If you’re looking to start one of these armies the battleforces are generally a good place to start. But not all are created equally. Honestly, you might want to point them out yourself to see if they are what you want…but that’s not the focus today. No, today we are going to look at them from a pure dollar value vs their MSRP. So let’s dive in.
Adepta Sororitas Battleforce: Penitent Crusade Host
9x Sisters Repentia and their Repentia Superior = $60
2x Adepeta Sororitas Rhinos = $130
Adepta Sororitas Transfer sheet – 290 decals

Imperial Knights Battleforce: Valourstrike Lance

Necrons Battleforce: Hypercrypt Legion
C’tan Shard of the Void Dragon = $127.50
Overlord with Translocation Shroud = $40
10x Triarch Praetorians = $120
10x Necron Warriors w/3x Canoptek Scarab Swarms = $52
Total Individual MSRP: $279.50

T’au Empire Battleforce: Retaliation Cadre
Riptide Battlesuit w/ two drones = $118
Ghostkeel Battlesuit w/ two drones = $92
Broadside Battlesuit w/ two drones = $62.50
Total Individual MSRP: $335
Total Savings: $95
Dark Angels Battleforce: Inner Circle Task Force
Chaplain in Terminator armour = $44
6x Inner Circle Companions = $120
10x Deathwing Knights w/ 2x Watchers in the Dark = $140
Total Individual MSRP: $374
Total Savings: $134
So there you have it. Breakdown-wise the “best value” out of the lot is the Dark Angels with a total savings of $134. The “worst value” of the lot is actually the T’au box with a total savings of $95. Again, I’m not talking about value based on what’s actually in the box and usable. I’m talking purely about this from a dollar amount. Personally, if I was going pick up any of these options, I’d probably go for the Imperial Knights or Dark Angels because those are the only two armies I’d be interested in playing. To be completely honest most of these boxed sets just aren’t my cup of tea. But if you like them, go for it. I’ll likely sit out this round of 40k battleforce boxes.
