Necromunda: ‘Abyssal Ferryman’ Guides Your Gangers To The Underhells
The Abyssal Ferryman is here to guide gangs to the Necromunda Underhells. He might even guide you back if you’ve got the caps for it.
Scavenging in the Underhells can be very rewarding. The treasure trove of rare technology, gear, and secrets is going to tempt most gangers looking for a massive score. However, even the trip across the Exclusion Zone is a big risk. If only there were some sort of guide to take you there…and hopefully back!
Madryc Helbane and Lugrun are two such Ferrymen. Helbane is an orphan of the Hell’s Warden massacre who has since gone on to become a legend among the Ferrymen of Port Grave for both his skill and tenacity. He is accompanied by the Ogryn Lugrun, a former slave long-since abandoned by his masters, who formed a fast bond with the maverick Helbane.
Abyssal Ferrymen
You can take Helbane and Lugrun as part of your typical costs for hiring Dramatis Personae. However, if you’re playing in an Underhells campaign, you can swap them out for your Ferryman Skipper and Ferryman Rig-hand for free.
The Ferrymen themselves all hail from various different enclaves. These can determine their skill set.
“Hunter Enclaves are skilled in tackling the Malstrain and are Cunning Killers who provide a re-roll for failed Wound rolls against Roaming Horrors.
Survivors, on the other hand, have learned how to patch up injuries and endure the terrible conditions of Hive Secundus, giving fallen comrades a Second Chance with a free Medical Escort in each cycle of an Underhells Campaign.”
There’s also the Explorer and Tinker Enclaves. Their rules along with Helbane and Lugrun’s rules can be found in Necromunda: The Book of Desolation.
As for the miniature for these two Abyssal Ferrymen, you’ll be able to get from from Games Workshop later. They will be available in Forge World resin.
Hire a guide? Yeah…that’s probably a good idea.
