‘Total War: Warhammer 3’ – The New Ogres Legendary Lord Eats in New Golgfag Maneater Gameplay Showcase
Golgfag Maneater lives up to his name in a new gameplay showcase from the upcoming Total War: Warhammer 3 DLC, Omens of Destruction.
Creative Assembly released a new gameplay showcase video, this time for Golgfag Maneater. The legendary mercenary, who will do anything for gold, food, or both, makes his debut with the first mercenary faction in Total War: Warhammer 3.
Meat of all shapes, sizes, and delectableness is back on the menu, boys. Let’s knuckle down and take a look at the Golgfag Maneater gameplay showcase.
Golgfag Maneater Gameplay Showcase – Hungry For Gold, Hungrier For Meat
Just look at him in all his glory. What a boss. What a champion. And what a mercenary. This is one of the fun factors of the way he plays. Golgfag cannot make formal alliances the way another faction would. But any other faction in the game can pay you gold to go kill things for them. What you do with the things after they’re dead is up to you. Mostly it involves tossing them in the pot.
An ogre’s gotta eat, you know. And eat Golgfag Maneater does. In the gameplay showcase, we get a feel for how he plays. Big and boastful in terms of dialogue, he also rewards big and bold gameplay. He is all about sacking and razing settlements to acquire wealth. But then he can take contracts to boost that, and get the economy going.
Golgfag’s Contracts system is its own unique system, completely separate from the now-renamed Ogre Kingdoms bounties. In a nutshell, contracts are how Golgfag handles “relations.” So you aceept a contract, and then have a turn limit within which you must take “aggressive action” against the target of the contract. You will gain points towards an overall goal, and then you can either stay employeda nd get a new contract and then going elsewhere.
For added ogre-iness you can turn around and accept a contract from an opposing faction. By accepting contracts, you’ll blaze a trail across the world map. You might take a land all your own. Or you might give it to an ally in the hopes that you’ll get better contracts. Which means that Meat is much more important.
You can find out more in the gameplay showcase video.
Be sure and look out for Omens of Destruction!
