Atomic Mass Games has another Affiliation Pack on the way for the Guardians of the Galaxy. But this one’s on the deadlier side of things.

We already talked about the first Affiliation Pack for the Guardians of the Galaxy. This one is the partner-pack as this one contains (basically) the other half of the Guardians. It’s the new Galaxy’s Deadliest Affiliation Pack that contains Drax, Gamora, Nebula, and Ronan.

“The Guardians of the Galaxy are a band of lovable misfits that are well known to somehow get the job done. As Marvel: Crisis Protocol has grown, so too has their affiliation. Today we are going to dive into the Galaxy’s Deadliest Affiliation Pack that supports the Guardians of the Galaxy. This box is one of two the affiliation is getting in the very near future!”

Galaxy’s Deadliest Affiliation Pack Explored

It’s worth noting that the cards in this pack are updates/reprints for the characters included. What that really means is that if you already have these characters there’s not really a need to pick-up this pack. The updated cards for Gamora and Ronan The Accuser are free to download.

As for Nebula and Drax their cards are just updated for the current formatting used by AMG. So with that in mind we’re going to go through their cards fairly quick as they aren’t “new” characters.

Drax The Destroyer

Drax is still a beat stick at Threat 3. He really doesn’t have a ton tricks up his non-existant sleeves. He’s packing three different physical attacks and he’s really good at swinging above his weight class thanks to Driven by Vengeance. Basically, if an enemy hurts him he’s going to be able to swing back much harder. He’s also got a few throws built in for good measure. If you set it up just right he can swing for 11 dice with his Titan Killer attack. But that’s not something you can count on. It’s more of a “nice to pull off” when you can do it.

Gamora

Gamora is an interesting option and has a few things going for her. That said, I dunno if she lives up to the “Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy” moniker — at least in MCP. But as a Threat Level 4, I don’t think she’s a bad option. She’s got speed for sure with a Long move and she can also Assassin Leap into folks (or just for extra distance). Plus she’s got Stealth and her Martial Prowess ability for defense. Gamora can also use Cosmic Assassin to get to folks further away from her that people might expect. In the Guardians she does put those Assassin skills to work.

Nebula

Another Assassin, Nebula comes in at a Threat Level of 2. She’s also relatively quick with a Long move. She’s also surprisingly durable thanks to her Cybernetic Enhancements granting her a reroll and some damage repair. Her attacks aren’t that flashy though. The good news is that she’s got some built-in re-rolls if she’s attacking characters holding or contesting objectives. This can make her damage output surprisingly reliable. If you’ve got 2 threat lying around for your list she’s a pretty good option to bring along!

Ronan The Accuser

Ronan the Accuser has a lot more crowd control that you might expect from him. All three of his attacks can cause extra effects on the target. He can also toss out the rare Judgement special condition which seems appropriate. He’s got a medium move but is also on a larger base so he’s faster than you might think. He’s also Size 3 which checks out with the larger base. One more thing worth noting is that he can take the Power Gem. That’s going to net him more power per turn. You can use that to start tossing out those Judgements or you ramp into Kree Justice much sooner. The Power is yours!

I do think this pack is good for new players or anyone looking to start a Guardians of the Galaxy list. But if you are brand new or just starting with Guardians, you should get the other pack first — or at least at the same time. Star Lord is the only leader for the Affiliation (currently). So he’s kind of mandatory if you really want to play a Guardians of the Galaxy list. That said, his pack does round out the rest of the Affiliation and opens up some more options to include.

The Galaxy’s Deadliest pack is currently up for pre-order and is slated to be in stores on March 28, 2025.

In CP223, Gamora, Nebula, Ronan and Drax come together for the Guardians of the Galaxy Affiliation Pack #2. This pack expands players’ collection of Guardians of the Galaxy characters.

As daughters of Thanos, Gamora and Nebula were trained to be the deadliest warriors in the galaxy. Using their abilities as the Guardians of the Galaxy and their own motives and accomplish their goals. Drax the Destroyer continues to fight to protect the innocent and pursue his quest to slay the Mad Titan Thanos. Ronan is a threat rightly feared by all who dare cross the Kree.

Just distract them with a dance-off. I’m sure it will work out.
