Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Custom Tip

Games Workshop has just unleashed a new Rumor Engine upon us all. Now we’ve got to figure out what the heck we’re looking at.
Welcome to another Tuesday and a brand new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop to mull over. This one is …odd. We’ve got some sort of drill bit or something odd going on. But before I go on rambling in a cold medicine* induced stupor you should probably get a look first.
“If you’ve ever seen those terrifying machines that shred the inside of a coconut, you’ll know exactly what this is – another tool in the arsenal of Warhammer’s premier culinarians.”
Well, there you have it. This Rumor Engine is just one of those “machines that shred the inside of a coconut” according to WarCom. Mystery solved.
A Shriya Coconut Mauler. That’s not the actual name, but it should be.
Now I guess we just need to figure out who’s needing a coconut cracker like the Rumor Engine. Also, it’s clearly mechanical and probably powered from the looks of things. So I think we can rule out any organic only folks (Tyranids). I’d even go so far as to say we can rule out most of the Mortal Realms on this one. Except the Kharadron Overlords. They might use a Coconut Mauler to bore into a ship’s hull…
Anyhow, it could be that or or it could be many other things. It looks too bulky to be anything from the Aeldari/Drukhari side. This one also doesn’t look hodge-podge enough for an Orky device. There’s pretty good odds that’s it’s Imperial or Imperial-Adjacent tech.
Having said all that, I’m still not sure what the heck this thing really is. Could it be a drill? But then why aren’t the grooves shaped like a drill and not like an arrow head. I think it’s a custom tip that’s designed to be shot at something. It looks like it’s could go through some serious armor to me.
I’m a bit lost on this one so this is where I’m kicking it over to you. If you’ve got any ideas drop them in the comments. This is a tough one to crack. If only we had some sort of bit or drill designed to get through the tough exterior and pulp the insides…
*I do in fact have cold at the moment. I don’t just take cold meds for fun.
Are you a fan of coconut or not? I’m really on the fence about it.
