The Convention Exclusive I Am No Jedi Deluxe Duel Pack is coming to Star Wars: Shatterpoint. It’s Master vs Apprentice time!

Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader have a LONG history and it’s all coming to a head with the upcoming I Am No Jedi duel pack. Not only will this come with new versions of Ahsoka and Vader, it’s also getting a special release for Conventions. Let’s dig into the details and learn more.

“The convention-exclusive version of this pack features a diorama terrain piece will first be offered in-person at AdeptiCon, but will also be available online through the Asmodee online store while Adepticon is happening. We have been working with Asmodee distributors worldwide to offer this exclusive pack to as many regions as possible. After Adepticon, SWP81 – I Am No Jedi Deluxe Duel Pack will be available at various conventions attended by Asmodee throughout the year. This diorama features the backdrop of the Malachor Sith temple ruins where Ahsoka and Darth Vader fought, including the energy-pulsing Holocron dock which would eventually bring an end to their duel. Additionally, the Vader sculpt in this pack offers a damaged mask option to alter the miniature to match damage inflicted by Ahsoka at the pivotal moment in their fight when she finally recognized her former master.”

I Am No Jedi Deluxe Duel Pack

Just to reiterate a point from a previous article these two characters are coming via another pack later this year — just without the diorama display. So if you can’t make it to a convention or miss the ordering window online you can still get the characters themselves.

With that out of the way, let’s check out the characters and what they are bringing to the tabletop!

Ahsoka Tano, Fulcrum

At this point in her life Ahsoka Tano was a very different person from the young apprentice that Anakin Skywalker took under his wing. That is echoed in her abilities as well as her combat stances.

Not only she bringing 8 SP to the battle but also those 4 Force points, too. Ahsoka has the title-dropping ability I Am No Jedi. This allows for her to refresh her Force points and to also make a follow-up 5 die melee attack after wounding an enemy. Her other abilities are also potent as she’s quite the duelist herself.

With a pair of combat stances she has access to serious damage output. I would call Form V the more defensive of the two while Jar’kai is a touch more reckless. That said both of these options look deadly enough to make anyone pause if she was charging at them. Keep in mind that her Riposte ability is also 2 damage anytime an attacker in melee crit-misses. And her Aggressive Defense can basically force that to happen.

Darth Vader, Fallen Master

This version of Darth Vader is certainly a different spin on him. It’s interesting that he’s also a Secondary Unit. In the long run, I think this could open up some really weird and fun list combos later…but let’s check out his abilities.

Vader is still one tough cookie in this form. Two of his abilities interact with strain tokens. While he doesn’t have one, the Anakin Was Weak ability is a good way to keep this machine going. Refreshing Force, healing (by way of removing damage), and also a Dash is a lot of benefit. Alternatively, he can take a strain to force an objective within range 3 to be contested by him. That’s thanks to The Power Within Will Soon Serve The Emperor.

Combat wise, he’s only got the one stance to use…but I feel like that’s all he really needs. There’s plenty of damage on the track as well as some tricky movement shenanigans as well as heals if you go deep enough. He’s got options.

The first crack at this kit will be at/durring AdeptiCon. Again, there will be the option to order online if you can’t be there in person. After AdeptiCon, you’ll have to go to one of the other major Conventions to get a copy if you want the awesome looking diorama display. Otherwise, wait until the two character pack comes out later this year.

That’s a lot of light saber action for a pair of non-Jedi. Just Sayin’.
