Space Marine 2: Space Wolves, Imperial Fists, & Trygons Coming To Play

The Space Marine 2 roster continues to grow because there’s more DLC on the way. Space Wolves, Imperial Fists, and a Tyrgon are coming.
To be fair, it’s probably going to be a lot more than just a single Trygon, but you get the point. There’s more baddies coming to Space Marine 2. The Adeptus Astartes are getting even more friends (aka skins) and weapons to deal with them!
“No matter how many Tyranids are torn apart, there always seem to be more in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II… and with the arrival of a new bioform, Hive Fleet Leviathan shows no signs of slowing its delivery of vile creatures.”
New Trygon Update
This new update adds yet another PvE Operation to the game. In Exfiltration, a Tech-Priest needs to be extracted. But if it were easy the Adeptus Astartes wouldn’t be sent in. There’s a whole lot of Tyranids in the area and one in particular is going to test your mettle. And yes, I’m referring to the Trygon.
There’s loads of fresh screen shots from the area and it looks awesome. Bleak, but awesome. I can’t wait to take a crack at this mission. Oh, and there’s even more goodies on the way.
New Weapons and Skins
Coming in hot, we’ve got the new Inferno Pistol. There’s also various upgrade skins for this weapon, too. As for the Marines themselves, there are also a bunch of new skins for the Space Wolves chapter. And it’s not just new armor either.
“There are over 50 unique cosmetics and colours themed after the 12 Great Companies, so you can honour Leman Russ as you hunt down the most abominable Tyranid monstrosities.”
As for the Imperial Fists, they are getting a new Champion Skin as well as a unique Plasma Incinerator Skin to match.
New Gamplay Updates
“Also included are Prestige Ranks and Prestige Rewards, alongside weapon perk reworks, the ability to change the colour of cloth, tabards and hoods across all classes, and custom PvP lobbies for groups of up to 12 players in Eternal War.”
As far as the update goes the new PvE Operation and many Quality of Life adjustments are coming for free. However, the new skins are going to be available to Season Pass Owners. You can also purchase those separately if you’d like. Personally, I’m a big fan of how these updates work. The game play updates and content being free for all players is fantastic. While free skins for armor and weapons would be cool I’m fine with them being behind a pass or paywall. They aren’t integral to gameplay…but they look real cool!
The update is out now. Once more into the breach!
