A new expansion from Grim Hollow hit D&D Beyond this week. The Grim Hollow Player Pack brings with it six new gothic subclasses.

As you might expect from the name, Grim Hollow is a campaign setting that leans hard into dark fantasy territory. And that means things are bleak and gothic and covered in black velvet probably. But the world of Etharis is not for the faint of heart.

Which is probably why you’ll want to play one of the six new subclasses introduced in the Grim Hollow Player Pack. From the Path of the Carrion Raven Barbarian, to the Misfortune Bringer Rogue, there’s something shadowy and sinister or grim and dark for everyone. Well. For six classes.

The Grim Hollow Player Pack on D&D Beyond – Six Subclasses, Each Grim and Dark On Its Own

In the unforgiving world of Etharis, you will find encroaching darknss, plagues, curses, and monsters. It’s a bad time fr the unprepared. But if grim darkness and fantasy are your jam, you may well enjoy the gothified subclasses of the Grim Hollow Player Pack. There are six all in all:

  • Barbarian – Path of the Carrion Raven
  • Bard – College of Requiems
  • Cleric – Inquisition Domain
  • Fighter – Blade Breaker
  • Paladin – Oath of Zeal
  • Rogue – Misfortune Bringer

These all sound like locations or bosses that you would encounter in a Dark Souls game, somewhere. Which I think is the point. But there’s more than just the six new subclasses. You’ll also find 10 new magic items, 2 new artifact weapons, 10 new spells, and 2 new playable species. All of this on D&D Beyond!

The world of Etharis sounds like it’d have serious tourism probblems!
