Designed for builders of all ages, the collection offers both realistic replicas of real-world vehicles and imaginative, futuristic designs. With sets ranging from simple kits for children to complex designs for collectors such as F1 racecars, LEGO cars feature vehicles such as the LEGO Technic Ferrari sports cars, LEGO City police cruisers, and LEGO Creator modular vehicles.
LEGO is a line of plastic construction toys manufactured by the Lego Group, a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark. LEGO consists of variously colored interlocking plastic bricks made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) that accompany an array of gears, figurines called minifigures, and various other parts. LEGO pieces can be assembled and connected in many ways to construct objects, including vehicles, buildings, and working robots. Assembled LEGO models can be taken apart, and their pieces reused to create all new constructions.
The LEGO Group began manufacturing the interlocking toy bricks in 1949. It is one of Europe's biggest companies, and LEGO is the largest toy manufacturer in the world by sales. As of July 2015, 600 billion LEGO parts had been produced.
