Pathfinder
Pathfinder RPG News, Reviews, Editorials & Adventures. The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game is a fantasy role-playing game published by Paizo Publishing in 2009. The game's first edition extends and modifies the System Reference Document (SRD) based on the revised Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) 3rd Edition published by Wizards of the Coast under the Open Game License (OGL). Pathfinder is intended to be backward-compatible with that edition of D&D. Pathfinder 2nd Edition, a new version of the RPG, was published in 2019. It continued to use the OGL and SRD. Significant updates to the RPG's core rules made the new edition incompatible with content from Pathfinder 1st Edition or any edition of D&D. Starting in 2023, the game now uses the ORC license, though it remains backwards-compatible with the existing OGL-licensed Second Edition rules. Pathfinder is supported by official Paizo Publishing Pathfinder periodicals and myriad third-party supplements.
