Whether you’re excited about Alien: Covenant or disappointed there’s no prequel continuity, this Ripley cosplayer will light your fire!
In case the title isn’t leading enough, I’ll clarify—I’m a fan of Prometheus and the Alien franchise sequels. That’s right, I am. I adore the twisty backstory and how the Engineers designed and then found flaws in their creation. The result is cinematic history that seems about to disappear. While the prequels might not be popular with audiences, Ripley certainly is.
Sigourney Weaver’s portrayal of Alien’s heroine Ripley is one of the best leading performances in sci-fi I’ve ever seen and responded to. She singlehandedly carries that movie and its sequels. Ripley has stood the test of time in the top female leading roles, and it’s time to pay her tribute.
Ripley: From Cinema to Cosplay
Cosplayer Vampisaurus is a sci-fi cosplay force to be reckoned with. Her cosplays show her dedication to the genre, covering everything from Alien to Star Wars, Beetlejuice, and more. She also bears an uncanny resemblance to Sigourney, both in hair and facial features. The cinematic quality of these gorgeous photo sets truly raises the bar for cosplay recreations.

The other members of the crew – Kane, Lambert, Parker, Brett, Ash, and Captain Dallas – are dead. Cargo and ship destroyed. I should reach the frontier in about six weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ellen Ripley, the last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off.” Ripley Cosplay with permission from Vampisaurus
